WHEB team continues to build with new joiners across the business
WHEB Asset Management has seen significant growth over the past 12 months, with total assets under management (AUM) topping £1.3bn at the end of June 2021. On the back of this significant growth we have significantly expanded the team. Not to diversify, but in the continual quest to get better in the pursuit of our mission, to advance sustainability and create prosperity through positive impact investments.
We have increased the resources and research capability of our investment team. Claire Jervis joined as an analyst in January and Victoria MacLean starts this month as Associate Portfolio Manager. With Victoria on board, WHEB’s investment team now has six members managing our pioneering impact strategy.
With more assets under management, we also have many more clients and we have significantly expanded our client relationship management capability. Last autumn, we welcomed two new additions to the Business Development team. Fanny Ruighaver joined FundRock Distribution, our partner in Europe, as Business Development Director for WHEB. With the launch of our Irish-domiciled UCITS fund at the end of 2020, Fanny now leads our client relationships in Europe (ex-UK). Business Development Associate Rachael Monteiro also joined the team to support sales and marketing in the UK. Other more recent changes include Libby Stanley returning from maternity leave in the new role of Marketing Manager and Sarah Briscoe moving from Libby’s maternity cover and taking on a permanent role as Business Development Manager, focusing on client relationships in the UK.
We have also expanded the capacity of our Operations team. Sarita Kashyap brings significant experience to her new role as Risk and Performance Analyst, starting at WHEB in the last month.
And finally, WHEB appointed a new Non-Executive Chair, Jayne Sutcliffe, who takes over as Geoff Hall retires after 10 years of service. Jayne has unrivalled experience in building a specialist investment business. Jayne was founder and CEO of Charlemagne Capital, the leading emerging markets investment boutique.
WHEB is delighted to have welcomed so many new faces to the team.
George Latham, Managing Partner, said “It’s a really exciting time for WHEB and we’re thrilled to have grown with so many outstanding people joining the team. It’s been a challenging time to join a new team whilst working remotely so we’re really looking forward to spending more time together in the office as working life returns to a ‘new normal’ through the second half of this year.
Our new colleagues mean that WHEB is now a majority female firm. We are proud of that, particularly within the asset management industry. We continue to work on our diversity in all its forms, to ensure WHEB is an inclusive and inspiring workplace for all existing and future colleagues.”
